This CME teaching activity provides a comprehensive review of hip imaging, highlighting practical approaches to evaluating a wide range of clinical presentations. Through a series of focused lectures, faculty will address key imaging considerations across common and complex hip conditions, including both intra-articular and extra-articular processes, as well as selected postoperative and athletic scenarios. Emphasis is placed on the effective use of MRI, recognition of imaging challenges, and the integration of imaging findings into clinical care.
This CME teaching activity is intended for radiologists, musculoskeletal imaging specialists, orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, and other healthcare professionals involved in the evaluation and management of hip conditions. It is also appropriate for residents and fellows seeking to strengthen their understanding of hip imaging.
Physicians: Educational Symposia is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Educational Symposia designates this enduring material for a maximum of 4.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
All activity participants are required to complete the credit application in order to be awarded credit. Course participants will also have the opportunity to critically evaluate the program as it relates to practice relevance and educational objectives.
AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM for these programs may be claimed until April 30, 2029.
This program is planned and organized by Educational Symposia, a leader in accredited continuing education since 1975.
This activity was planned and produced in accordance with the ACCME Essential Areas and Elements.
At the completion of this CME teaching activity, you should be able to:
-
Discuss the role of MRI in the evaluation of hip conditions across a range of clinical scenarios.
-
Review imaging approaches for common intra-articular and extra-articular hip pathology.
-
Apply imaging strategies to differentiate sources of hip and groin pain.
-
Describe imaging considerations in the postoperative hip, including arthroplasty.
No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.
