This CME teaching activity provides a practical review of current topics in gastrointestinal pathology. Dr. Rhonda Yantiss discusses diagnostic pearls that can help surgical pathologists handling cases from the gastrointestinal tract, as well as the pitfalls to be aware of to avoid misdiagnoses. Topics focus on biopsy interpretation and cover a spectrum of inflammatory conditions, as well as colorectal polyps. Appendiceal neoplasms and colorectal cancer staging issues are also addressed.
This CME activity is primarily intended and designed to educate pathologists.
